Solid hardwood, cut as one slab. The Handmade Live Edge Desk keeps the tree's own curves along its edge. Nothing is squared off. The grain does the talking.
The Slab
The top is a single piece, not a glued panel. Its natural outline gives every desk a different silhouette. A smooth, durable finish makes the surface ready for daily work.
The Base
A thick, sculptural base anchors the slab. It is bold to look at and steady under load. The contrast between raw edge and polished surface is quiet but striking.

Use it in a home office, a studio or an executive space. It also works as a display surface for books and objects. The desk asks for little beyond a clear wall and good light, and it rewards both by showing off the depth in the grain as the day changes.
Each slab is unique, so grain, color and edge shape will vary from the photos. Your desk is handcrafted to order by a partner artisan workshop. Expect natural marks that belong to the wood itself.
Shipping, returns & care
Shipping is free on U.S. orders of $75 or more; orders under $75 ship for a flat $5.95. We currently ship to U.S. addresses only.
This piece is handcrafted to your order by our partner artisan workshops: about 7-10 days of cutting and carving, then photos of your actual piece for your approval, then about a week of finishing and crating. You can change or cancel this made-to-order piece within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. Before finishing we send photos of your actual piece - once you approve them, it is final sale and cannot be returned for change of mind.
If it arrives damaged or defective, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we repair, replace or refund it at no cost to you. Natural variation in grain, knots and colour is part of handmade wood and is not a defect.

Choose your size from the options above; every measurement is listed in the size names and the description. Because each piece is cut from natural wood, grain, knots and colour vary, and large pieces can differ by up to about an inch.
Dust with a soft dry cloth, keep the piece out of standing water and long hours of direct sun, and refresh oiled finishes with a wood oil once or twice a year.
