Sculptural Hand-Carved Tree Solid Wood Bookshelf With Sinuous Ribbon Base & Integrated Ambient Lighting
Sculptural Hand-Carved Tree Solid Wood Bookshelf With Sinuous Ribbon Base & Integrated Ambient Lighting
At floor level, a ribbon of wood loops back on itself before rising into a slender carved trunk. The Sculptural Hand-Carved Tree Solid Wood Bookshelf With Sinuous Ribbon Base and Integrated Ambient Lighting then branches into display ledges tipped with carved leaves, each lit from below by warm LEDs.
Light on the Shelves
Flush-mounted warm LED strips are concealed beneath the shelves, casting a soft, glare-free glow over pottery, prints, plants and books without visible wiring. Custom color temperatures or a dimmer can be added for an extra fee.
What You Get
- Looping ribbon base with low display space for lanterns or sculpture
- Six staggered ledges at varied heights
- Open back that lets the wall color show through
- Solid wood with light honey-blonde tones and a clear matte seal
Sizing and Installation
Height, shelf span and platform depth can be tailored, and stain tones from light oak to deep walnut are available for an added fee. The upper trunk must be anchored to wall studs with the included concealed brackets. Dust along the curves with a soft cloth, and disconnect power before cleaning near the lights.
Every bookshelf is handcrafted to order by a partner artisan workshop. Branch curves, grain and knots vary naturally, so your piece will be unlike any other.
Shipping, returns & care
Shipping is free on U.S. orders of $75 or more; orders under $75 ship for a flat $5.95. We currently ship to U.S. addresses only.
This piece is handcrafted to your order by our partner artisan workshops: about 7-10 days of cutting and carving, then photos of your actual piece for your approval, then about a week of finishing and crating. It ships directly to you with tracking and arrives in another 3-7 business days - about 3-4 weeks in total. Contiguous U.S. only; contact us for Alaska or Hawaii. Full details on our Shipping Policy.
You can change or cancel this made-to-order piece within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. Before finishing we send photos of your actual piece - once you approve them, it is final sale and cannot be returned for change of mind.
If it arrives damaged or defective, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we repair, replace or refund it at no cost to you. Natural variation in grain, knots and colour is part of handmade wood and is not a defect.
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. See the full Refund Policy.
Choose your size from the options above; every measurement is listed in the size names and the description. Because each piece is cut from natural wood, grain, knots and colour vary, and large pieces can differ by up to about an inch.
Dust with a soft dry cloth, keep the piece out of standing water and long hours of direct sun, and refresh oiled finishes with a wood oil once or twice a year.
