Sculptural Hand-Carved Mushroom Solid Wood Floating Shelves & Biomorphic Wall Display Ledges
Sculptural Hand-Carved Mushroom Solid Wood Floating Shelves & Biomorphic Wall Display Ledges
A rounded mushroom cap curves beneath a flat semicircular ledge, and the grain follows that swell from wall to edge. The Sculptural Hand-Carved Mushroom Solid Wood Floating Shelf is carved from a solid block, so deck and support read as one continuous form.
Shape and Surface
The underside tapers into the wall, hiding the structural support inside the carved cap. Edges are rounded all the way around, which keeps the shelf gentle in a hallway or reading corner. A clear matte finish protects the wood from handling, humidity and dust while leaving it smooth to the touch.
Styling Notes
- Priced per shelf: each listing is for one shelf; order several to build an asymmetric wall cluster.
- Made for light display: suited to ceramics, small vases and a few lightweight books.
- Concealed mounting hardware comes with every shelf.
- Several sizes are offered, so mixed groupings are easy to plan.
Installation and Care
Fix the shelf into wall studs or use heavy-duty drywall anchors for a secure hold. Dust along the curves with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, wipe away moisture promptly and avoid abrasive chemical cleaners.
Because each shelf is handcrafted to order, grain pattern, cap thickness, color depth and knots differ slightly from one to the next. Hung together, those differences make a cluster look collected rather than matched.
Shipping, returns & care
Shipping is free on U.S. orders of $75 or more; orders under $75 ship for a flat $5.95. We currently ship to U.S. addresses only.
This piece is handcrafted to your order by our partner artisan workshops: about 7-10 days of cutting and carving, then photos of your actual piece for your approval, then about a week of finishing and crating. It ships directly to you with tracking and arrives in another 3-7 business days - about 3-4 weeks in total. Contiguous U.S. only; contact us for Alaska or Hawaii. Full details on our Shipping Policy.
You can change or cancel this made-to-order piece within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. Before finishing we send photos of your actual piece - once you approve them, it is final sale and cannot be returned for change of mind.
If it arrives damaged or defective, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we repair, replace or refund it at no cost to you. Natural variation in grain, knots and colour is part of handmade wood and is not a defect.
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. See the full Refund Policy.
Choose your size from the options above; every measurement is listed in the size names and the description. Because each piece is cut from natural wood, grain, knots and colour vary, and large pieces can differ by up to about an inch.
Dust with a soft dry cloth, keep the piece out of standing water and long hours of direct sun, and refresh oiled finishes with a wood oil once or twice a year.
