Made for the empty corner where two walls meet, the Mushroom Tree Corner Shelf Floor to Ceiling holds plants, books, candles and small treasures on a single carved column. A solid wood trunk rises nearly to the ceiling, with mushroom-cap shelves spiraling around it.
How the Shelves Work
Six caps alternate sides as they climb. The lower caps handle heavier things like potted plants or stacked books, while the upper ones suit candles, figurines, small vases and dried flowers. Each cap has a curved top and a ribbed underside, similar to a bracket fungus on a tree. Instead of straight brackets, curved branches carved from the same wood connect every cap to the trunk, with the grain running outward into the shelf.

Why a Corner Piece
Sitting tight into the corner, the trunk uses almost no floor space while filling vertical space that normally goes unused. Shelves reach along both walls, giving you display area in two directions. Share your corner measurements and ceiling height, and the column can be sized to fit.
The grain, knots and cap shapes will vary, since each trunk is a different piece of timber. Your shelf is handcrafted to order by a partner artisan workshop, so it is a one-off.

This piece is handcrafted to your order by our partner artisan workshops: about 7-10 days of cutting and carving, then photos of your actual piece for your approval, then about a week of finishing and crating. You can change or cancel this made-to-order piece within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. Before finishing we send photos of your actual piece - once you approve them, it is final sale and cannot be returned for change of mind.
If it arrives damaged or defective, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we repair, replace or refund it at no cost to you. Natural variation in grain, knots and colour is part of handmade wood and is not a defect.

Choose your size from the options above; every measurement is listed in the size names and the description. Because each piece is cut from natural wood, grain, knots and colour vary, and large pieces can differ by up to about an inch.
Dust with a soft dry cloth, keep the piece out of standing water and long hours of direct sun, and refresh oiled finishes with a wood oil once or twice a year.
