A full cross-section of a tree forms this clock, its raw bark edge rippling around the rim and natural voids opening through the slab. The Handcrafted Live-Edge Solid Wood Burl Cross-Section Wall Clock sets a golden-amber heartwood center against paler sapwood, marked with simple numerals and slim black hands.
The Slab
The face is leveled and the interior hollows and edges are smoothed by hand, revealing annual rings, burl swirls and bark fissures. A clear matte seal protects the wood from humidity and dust. Through the openings your wall color and shadows show, so the clock seems to float.

Hanging and Care
Because the slab is dense, use a sturdy drywall anchor or a wall stud. Dust along the grain and voids with a soft dry microfiber cloth, and avoid spraying cleaner onto the face. It suits Japandi, wabi-sabi, organic modern and warm minimalist interiors. The listing is for the clock and its mounting hardware only.

Shipping is free on U.S. orders of $75 or more; orders under $75 ship for a flat $5.95. We currently ship to U.S. addresses only.
This piece is handcrafted to your order by our partner artisan workshops: about 7-10 days of cutting and carving, then photos of your actual piece for your approval, then about a week of finishing and crating. You can change or cancel this made-to-order piece within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. Before finishing we send photos of your actual piece - once you approve them, it is final sale and cannot be returned for change of mind.
If it arrives damaged or defective, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we repair, replace or refund it at no cost to you. Natural variation in grain, knots and colour is part of handmade wood and is not a defect.

Dust with a soft dry cloth, keep the piece out of standing water and long hours of direct sun, and refresh oiled finishes with a wood oil once or twice a year.
